A Joyful Housewarming, Hostess & Birthday Gift
Searching for a handmade gift that feels happy the moment it is opened? A set of rainbow placemats is a cheerful, useful present for hosts, new homeowners and anyone who loves color in their home.
Choose a set of 4 for an intimate table, 6 for a family dinner or 8 for entertaining. They also make a lovely hostess gift, bridal shower present, birthday gift or wedding registry addition.
Design & Details
Each placemat begins at the center and spirals outward in tightly woven, concentric rings of color, finished with a hand-finished natural raffia fringe. Because every piece is woven by hand, the order and shade of the colored rings can differ from mat to mat and from the photos. No two placemats are exactly alike, and that individuality is part of their charm.
Material & Craftsmanship
Each placemat is handwoven by Moroccan artisans from natural Doum palm and raffia fibers in vibrant colors, then finished with a soft natural raffia fringe. Because the materials are natural and every piece is made by hand, slight variations in color, size and fringe are expected and are part of the appeal. These skills are passed from one generation of Moroccan weavers to the next.
